    Hello IonCraft!

Recently, me and a few other town owners came up with the idea of The Towny Games. What this is would essentially be an Olympic games of sorts for the Towny World. We are still in the planning stage, so if you have any ideas, please reply to this thread. Here are some of the ideas to date:

    Events
    -Fishing Contest
    -Pig Races
    -Sprinting
    -Horse Races
    -Diving
    -Sword Combat
    -Maze Running
    -Archery
    -Boat Races

    Organization
We are planning to have a Towny Games Committee that oversees location and event handling for the games. We would like to have representatives from all the major towns. Currently it consists of myself, Badger_Games, aerion23, and SockPants, representing Frostaria, Dogelin, Aviolym, and dink, respectively. If you feel you would be a good addition to this group, please reply below with your reasoning.

    Location
The location of the Towny Games would vary each time it takes place. Frostaria has offered to host the first games, and towns will take turns from there. In order to keep things more simplified, the Games Committee has decided that in order to host the Games, a town must have at least 5 residents. The details have yet to be worked out, but there will probably be a rotation order of towns willing to host the Games.

    Time
We are planning to have The Towny Games occur once every 2 months, on the odd months of the year. This means the first Games would be in March, and we have tentatively set the date for the middle of March. We have yet to decide how long it will last, but we will probably do it on a weekend, since that is the time the majority of players are available.

    Miscellaneous
We have decided that towns should allow players who would not regularly be welcome in their towns to enter their town when they are hosting the games. Also, feuds between towns would be put on a standstill during the games.

I think that this could be a fun tradition, let me know what you think in the comments below!

    Yes.

Though I will most likely be unable to host for many a time.
